Accessibility statement
Last updated pending publication
Lagos State Ministry of Health wants HealthRadar to be usable by everyone who needs it, including staff working in busy operations environments and travellers using assistive technology or lower-connectivity devices.
01
Our target
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA for the public website and the legal pages. We treat accessibility as an ongoing commitment rather than a one-time check.
02
What we do
- Use semantic landmarks and one main heading per page.
- Keep every interactive control operable by keyboard, with a visible focus ring.
- Provide a skip-to-content link and label navigation regions.
- Write alt text for meaningful images and hide decorative ones from assistive technology.
- Never rely on colour alone to convey status; pair it with text or shape.
- Honour the reduced-motion preference and avoid motion that cannot be paused.
- Check text and control contrast against WCAG AA.
- Label form fields and show validation errors inline.
03
Known limitations
Some parts of the platform are still being brought to full conformance. Known limitations include:
- Some dense data tables in the authenticated staff console need further work on keyboard navigation and screen-reader labelling.
- Map views combine our own accessible SVG with third-party map controls; the third-party controls may not meet AA.
- Some older console screens predate this accessibility work and are being reviewed.

Feedback and help
If you meet a barrier, or you need information from this site in another format, tell us. Include the page, what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology or browser you used.
Email hello@healthradar.health or use the contact form.
05
Compatibility
The public site is built to work with current versions of major browsers and with common screen readers. If you use an older browser or assistive technology and something does not work, let us know so we can help.
06
Enforcement
We review this statement as the platform changes. If you are not satisfied with our response to an accessibility issue, you can raise it through the contact route above and ask for it to be escalated.
